Pastor Jacqueline Boatwright

HisWay Christan Church is under the leadership of Rev. Jacqueline Boatwright, a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel.  Pastor Boatwright, a youthful spirit filled leader, teaches from the Bible and encourages the freedom from traditional through Christ Jesus. She believes in relationship not religion. Her mission is to preach the gospel to all of God's people, as she stresses "who so ever will let him or her come", just as they are. 

Bio

      Jacqueline Boatwright is a native of Georgia.  After completion of high school she attended college and spent years working as a model.  The study of Communications led to a seven year career in television.  Five of those years was spent as a host and producer of a Fox TV affiliate program entitled “The Jackie Boatwright Show.  The Jackie Boatwright Show toured several college campuses, taping in front of a live audience. Jacqueline is a former beauty queen and she appeared as a guest several national talk shows including, The Maury Povich Show and Jane Wallace Live Show.  She has appeared in JET, Sass, Booking Matters and Sophisticates Black Hair magazines.

     Jacqueline is a well sought after public speaker: Gracing audiences that range from, churches, civic clubs, fraternities, sororities, ladies groups, and schools.  Jackie has won and been nominated for many awards including a Black Image Award and Woman of the Year. In March of 2005 she was awarded the Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award from the Secretary of State. She has been honored and recognized for her efforts by governors, mayors, and other prominent leaders.

     Jacqueline is a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel.  She is the founding Pastor of HisWay Christian Church, Hiltonia, GA.  She has preached the Word to a host of churches of various denominations and race. On September 9, 2001 her faith was put to the test when her 14 month old son nearly drowned while attending daycare.  Doctor’s told her that her son, Juan, would never amount to anything, that he would be a vegetable. By faith in God she brought him home after 65 days in the hospital.  Today at age 8, Juan is still growing and progressing.  Jackie wrote and self-published a book, entitled “Juan’s Story” that tells his story and how God personally stepped in and ordered every step of Juan’s care. On March 19, 2004 after Jackie led a one woman crusade for change in the law regarding child daycare and liability insurance, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue signed “Juan’s Law” which went into effect on July 1, 2004.

     Jacqueline then traveled to the state of Virginia and spoke to the general assembly and on March 1, 2006 the state of Virginia passed Juan’s Law.  Jacqueline addressed the US Congress where a bill named in honor of her son, The Anthony DeJuan Boatwright Act was introduced, in effort to further protect children.

     Jacqueline’s efforts have been recently covered in Money Magazines, on CNN Headline News and dozens of other televisions affiliates.   Jacqueline has a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies (Pre-Law) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.  She currently a Ph.D Candidate in Clinical Psychology Salvation at a very young age has been the only asset to the many accomplishments that Jackie has had in her young lifetime.  And it was that same salvation that gave her the strength to stand on faith in the midst of the most trying time in a mother’s life and tell the doctor that she had another doctor that was working on her son’s case, and when he asked her who that doctor was, she replied. DR. JESUS!.
